How to Create ZFS File Systems
Become root or assume an equivalent role with the appropriateZFS rights profile.

Create the desired hierarchy.
In this example, a filesystem that acts as a container for individual file systems is created.
Set the inherited properties.
After the file systemhierarchy is established, set up any properties to be shared among all users:

Next, individual file systems are grouped under the home filesystem in the pool tank.
Create the individual file systems.
File systems couldhave been created and then the properties could have been changed at the home level. All properties can be changed dynamically while filesystems are in use.
These file systems inherit their property values from their parent,so they are automatically mounted at /export/zfs/user and are NFS shared. You do not need to edit the /etc/vfstab or /etc/dfs/dfstab file.

Set the file system-specific properties.
In this example,user bonwick is assigned a quota of 10 GBs. This propertyplaces a limit on the amount of space he can consume, regardless of how muchspace is available in the pool.
View the results.
View available file system informationby using the zfs list command:
Note that user bonwick only has 10 GB of spaceavailable, while user billm can use the full pool (67GB).

Open Zfs File System Windows
Make ReFS available on all Windows 10 SKUs. Fix Storage Spaces performance problems. ZFS and btrfs don't have them. Add ZFS and btrfs features to Storage Spaces. Add ZFS support to Windows 10. Add btrfs support to Windows 10. There is a matching request in the Windows 10 subreddit. There is no OS level support for ZFS in Windows. As other posters have said, your best bet is to use a ZFS aware OS in a VM. If you just want multi-/dual-boot OS (including Unix) with same /home, ZFS is the only realistic solution another maybe being NTFS, but has certain problems, such as maybe no to use Unix-like, rather than Windows-like, file-names so also utilities, and ZFS is safer.
